Finnish biotechnology company Enifer has started commissioning its first industrial-scale PEKILO® mycoprotein facility in Kantvik, Finland, with a planned output of 500 kg of dry mycoprotein per hour. The plant, funded partly through the EU's NextGenerationEU programme, aims to strengthen Finland's domestic protein supply for animal feed as the country's self-sufficiency in supplementary plant-based protein stands at only around 15%.

Dutch compound feed group ForFarmers has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of STW SA, a Polish animal feed producer with annual capacity of 270,000 tonnes, through its Polish subsidiary Tasomix. The deal, which excludes STW's logistics and poultry farming operations, is subject to Polish competition authority approval and is expected to close in early 2027.
Olam Agri has moved into ruminant nutrition with the launch of its Tru Value cattle feed range in Nigeria, expanding its Integrated Feed & Protein business beyond poultry and aquaculture.
