The EIA national diesel average rose 1.3 cents to $3.300 a gallon for the week of June 21, the ninth straight weekly gain. WTI was trading near $73.59, and the EIA forecast 2021 diesel at $2.97 and WTI at $58.91 on average.
Diesel strength continues to add to trucking and grain-transport costs, which feed buyers pay through delivered prices. The EIA outlook implies some easing later in the year.
