USDA's April WASDE and Crop Production reports held 2024-25 U.S. corn production at 14.867 billion bushels and the national yield at 179.3 bushels per acre. Corn exports were raised by 100 million bushels, and domestic ending stocks fell to 1.465 billion bushels, below pre-report estimates.
DTN analysts called the U.S. ending stocks bullish for corn and soybeans and moderately bearish for wheat.
Higher export demand and a smaller carryout tighten corn supplies, which supports corn prices and the cost of corn-based feed. Soybean and wheat signals are mixed.
