Argentina's government has cut export duties to zero on several agro-industrial products, including wheat, sorghum, soybeans and corn, under Decree 851/2021. The measure takes effect January 1, 2022.
Removing export taxes makes Argentine grain and oilseed exports more competitive, which can increase export flows and weigh on world prices. Sorghum and corn buyers may see more supply available.
