Bloomberg reports the EPA is about to send a draft of biofuel blending quotas for 2021 and 2022 to the White House for review, with a formal proposal expected within weeks. Some lawmakers were told requirements may be little changed, and a slight reduction is possible.
A reduction in renewable fuel quotas would cut demand for soybean oil used in biodiesel and corn used in ethanol, which is bearish for those markets. The size of any cut will determine how much prices move.
