Reuters reports the White House is reviewing an EPA plan that would reallocate 50% or less of waived biofuel gallons to large refiners. The approach is likely to draw opposition from farm-state lawmakers and support from the oil industry, and could mean about 550 million gallons of lost demand.
Losing roughly 550 million gallons of biofuel demand would weaken soybean oil use in biodiesel and reduce support for soybean crush, pressuring soybean oil and meal values.
