Chicago soybeans fell 2.7% on December 1 after the EPA proposed smaller-than-expected increases in biofuel blending requirements for 2023-2025, and front-month soyoil plunged 9%. Wheat slid on disappointing export sales and corn was pulled lower by soybean weakness.
A smaller US biofuel mandate reduces expected demand for soyoil and soybean crush, which bears on soybean and meal prices and pulls grain sentiment lower.
