Soybean futures posted modest gains early Friday after falling 4½ to 14 cents on Thursday. USDA export-sales data showed 1.456 million tonnes of 2026/27 soybean sales, including 873,900 tonnes to China; a USDA attaché estimated China’s 2026/27 imports at 110 million tonnes, below USDA’s 115-million-tonne projection.
Export sales support demand, but the lower China import estimate and expectations for a larger U.S. crop limit the upside. Soybean prices may remain under pressure unless demand or crop estimates shift.
