Agrinvest Commodities reported that Brazilian producers sold about 2.3 million tonnes of soybeans last week, roughly two and a half times the prior week's volume. The dollar rose about 9% while Chicago soybean futures fell 2.7%, giving farmers a net gain of about 6% in spot prices.
About 70% of the sold volume was for the 2026/27 crop.
Farmer selling into a strong dollar adds Brazilian export supply and can cap soybean meal and oil prices, while the weaker real improves export competitiveness.
