The USDA reported that September 2026 soybean crush fell to 199 million bushels, down 11 million from August and 6 million from a year earlier, as harvest delays limited new-crop beans. Corn used for ethanol dropped 9% on the month to 438.4 million bushels, and DDGS output fell 8% to about 1.70 million tons.
Lower crush cuts soybean meal and oil output, leaving meal and oil stocks below year-ago levels and supporting meal prices. Weaker ethanol grind reduces DDGS supply for feed buyers, which tends to firm DDGS prices.
