Texas animal health officials created new New World screwworm quarantine zones in far West Texas after the parasite was confirmed in a cow in Hudspeth County and a chicken in Presidio County. Federal traps also caught fertile wild screwworm flies in Pecos and Hudspeth counties, and movement limits now cover parts of 16 counties.
