The EPA published its final Renewable Fuel Standard rule setting 2017 annual percentage standards for cellulosic biofuel, biomass-based diesel, advanced biofuel and total renewable fuel, and the 2018 biomass-based diesel volume. The rule was published in the Federal Register on December 12, 2016.
Higher biomass-based diesel and advanced biofuel mandates pull more soybean oil, canola and other fats into biodiesel, supporting vegetable oil and soybean oil prices and feed-related oilseed meal values.
