Corn futures fell Monday after USDA reported record-large yield and production for 2025, with yield at 186.5 bushels per acre versus expectations of a decline. Harvested acres rose 1.3 million and December 1 stocks hit a record 13.3 billion bushels, leaving ending stocks near 2.227 billion bushels.
Sorghum production also rose.
Ending stocks well above trade estimates signal ample supply and weak feed grain prices, pressuring corn and sorghum values for feed buyers.
