China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is investigating whether three recent African swine fever outbreaks are linked. The outbreaks were in Shenyang on Aug 1, Zhengzhou on Aug 14 and Lianyungang, where 615 pigs were infected.
The ministry says it will publish information when available.
Outbreaks have pushed pork prices down in parts of China and prompted farmers to sell quickly. Lower hog prices and herd culls reduce feed demand over time.
