China's Ministry of Finance published a list of 696 American products, including soybeans, pork, beef, corn, wheat, crude oil and LNG, eligible for relief from retaliatory duties. Companies can apply for waivers from March 2, with exemptions valid for one year up to approved volumes.
This is the first time energy products have been included.
The waivers lower the effective cost of US grains and oilseeds for Chinese buyers, which supports US export sales and futures. Volumes above approved quotas remain tariffed, which limits how much extra demand the list can create.
