Soybean and corn futures rose on Tuesday despite a broader market downturn, after U.S. crop condition ratings declined. Soybeans were rated 63% good to excellent, down from 66%, and corn was rated 63%, down four points.
USDA also reported private export sales of 197,200 tonnes of corn to unknown destinations.
Falling crop ratings tighten expected U.S. supply and support corn and soybean prices, while soymeal and feed costs for buyers may firm accordingly.
