USDA's April world oilseed balance raised 2025/26 global oilseed production by 0.67 million tonnes to 698.21 million tonnes, mainly from sunflower and cotton. Global soybean production was raised 0.23 million tonnes to 427.41 million tonnes, and global soybean consumption rose 1.7 million tonnes.
Larger world oilseed supply and higher production estimates add pressure to oilseed and meal prices. Higher US crush offsets part of the bearish supply effect.
