Cargill Launches New-Generation Nutripec Aquafeed Line at Expo Tilapia México 2026

Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) Latam North unveiled a new generation of its Nutripec™ aquafeed line at Expo Tilapia México 2026 on 27 September 2026, presenting 13 products targeting tilapia, catfish, and trout across the different stages of aquaculture production.

The portfolio, marketed under the Purina® brand in Mexico, includes feeds designed to address the specific nutritional requirements of each species and production phase, from grow-out through to harvest, according to the company.

Alongside the product updates, Cargill introduced redesigned packaging intended to help preserve vitamins, fats, and essential nutrients, keep feed dry during on-farm storage and handling, and improve durability during transportation.

Jiddu Uribe, Retail Commercial Director of ANH Latam North, was quoted by Sociedad Noticias as saying the update seeks to strengthen the company's offering through specialised solutions for the different production stages, together with close support for producers.

Héctor Ruiz, Lead SMT of ANH Latam North, said the expo provided an opportunity to present the evolution of Nutripec™ directly to producers and other members of the supply chain, and to learn about the challenges facing Mexican aquaculture, according to the same report.

The company positioned the product launch within its broader "Next Level. Realized." strategic vision, which it describes as converting knowledge, innovation, and proximity to customers into practical production solutions.

The event brought together producers, technical specialists, distributors, and representatives from across the aquaculture supply chain, the source reported.

Cargill stated it maintains animal nutrition operations in Mexico and participates in the national agri-food supply chain.
