The GEOGLAM Crop Monitor for AMIS reports that wheat conditions at the end of January were mixed across western Canada, Europe, Russia, Ukraine and the northern US. Maize, rice and soybean conditions were generally favourable, with dryness concerns in parts of Argentina and South Africa.
Mixed wheat conditions in major Northern Hemisphere producers add modest upside risk to wheat prices. Favourable maize and soybean conditions keep those markets better supplied.
