The IGC forecasts 2026-27 global total grains production to fall 3% from the prior season's record, with wheat and corn output below last year. Black Sea export disruption is slowing global wheat flows, with total grain shipments expected to slip to 451 million tonnes.
Lower production and slower trade tighten feed grain supplies and support prices. Smaller harvests in Oceania, Europe and the Americas outweigh bigger crops in North Africa and Near East Asia.
