USDA's January WASDE and Crop Production reports raised 2019 corn production to 13.692 billion bushels on 168.0 bu/acre yields, above trade estimates. Corn ending stocks came in at 1.892 billion bushels, slightly below December's projection.
Prices initially fell on the data before recovering.
Higher-than-expected corn output and ample ending stocks add supply and weigh on feed grain prices, though the late-session recovery limited the decline.
