Corn futures made new contract lows as the market faded USDA's July WASDE, which cut 2025 corn production by 115 million bushels to 15.705 billion on lower harvested acreage. USDA left soybean yield at 52.5 bu/ac, and production tightened by 5 million bushels.
Analysts said fund short positions could allow more downside.
Lower corn and soybean prices reflect favorable weather and expectations of higher yields, which keep feed grain costs low for buyers.
