The USDA FAS reports that India posted a ninth straight record harvest of major field crops in 2024-25, with total grain at 357.7 million tonnes. Rice output reached 150 million tonnes and wheat 113.2 million.
FAS expects record 2025-26 rice output of 151 million tonnes and rice exports of 25 million tonnes.
