Indonesia is releasing 380,000 tons of broken rice from Bulog stocks at Rp11,000 per kilogram to ease food inflation and supply small food businesses. The government also plans to sell 100,000–150,000 tons of corn from Bulog stocks to poultry farmers at cost to help address rising feed costs.
The rice release adds domestic supply and may reduce demand for imported broken rice, putting downward pressure on local rice prices. The planned low-cost corn sales could ease feed costs for poultry producers and moderate pressure on chicken and egg prices.
