Russia extended mineral fertilizer export quotas through May 2027, setting the quota at more than 18.8 million tonnes. This includes over 11.3 million tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers and more than 7.5 million tonnes of complex fertilizers; the previous quota, effective through November 2026, was 20 million tonnes.
The extension maintains limits on fertilizer exports, and the lower stated quota could restrict availability to overseas buyers compared with the previous cap. That may support prices for nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers, though the quota still permits substantial exports.
