Russia set its mineral-fertilizer export quota at 18.8 million metric tons for December 2026 through May 2027, down from 20 million tons for the previous six-month period. The quota comprises 11.3 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers and 7.5 million tons of complex fertilizers, and is intended to preserve domestic supply.
The lower cap could reduce export availability of Russian fertilizers and tighten supplies for importers, supporting fertilizer prices. It also prioritizes domestic availability in Russia.
