Singapore middle-distillate prices weakened week over week through November 5, with jet fuel and 10ppm gasoil flat prices each falling about $12 per barrel. China issued an unusually large fourth batch of fuel export quotas, but November diesel exports are now expected to fall below 800,000 tonnes as domestic stocks have been depleted and some regions report rationing.
Additional export quotas and looser supply constraints across parts of Asia weighed on regional prices, while China’s expected export pullback and domestic shortages could limit diesel availability and support prices.
After 28 past bearish trade events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (50% higher; middle half -5.0% to +1.7%), and +0.9% over 20.
