Turkmenistan broke ground in Daşoguz Region on a cottonseed oil plant with 60,000 tonnes a year of capacity and a nitrogen complex. The complex is planned to produce 350,000 tonnes of urea and 350,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate a year, using natural gas.
New urea capacity adds future nitrogen supply, which over time eases fertilizer prices, and the cottonseed plant adds a new crusher for meal once it is operating.
After 34 past bearish policy events, Urea moved a median -0.8% over 5 sessions (38% higher; middle half -3.3% to +1.8%), and -4.5% over 20.
