Chinese refiners have sold about 500,000 metric tons of diesel for November loading so far, and early estimates put November shipments near 800,000 tons. That would be down from 1.33 million tons in August and 1.8 million in September, as domestic inventories ran low after strong late-summer exports.
Lower Chinese diesel exports remove supply from the Asian and global seaborne market at a time when distillate stocks are already tight, which supports diesel prices and the cost of fuel for feed-ingredient logistics.
After 26 past bullish trade events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median -1.9% over 5 sessions (31% higher; middle half -5.6% to +1.6%), and -4.8% over 20.
