StoneX issued its first estimate for Brazil's 2026/27 second-season corn crop at 113.53 million tonnes, up 2.3% from 2025/26. Planted area is expected to rise about 350,000 hectares to 18.1 million, and the firm also raised its soybean and first-crop corn forecasts.
A larger safrinha crop adds export supply for corn and DDGS from mid-2027, which is mildly bearish for international corn prices. The soybean upgrade also points to ample meal supply.
