Russia has harvested over 131 million tonnes of grain and more than 27 million tonnes of oilseeds, with three-quarters of planned winter sowing done. The government is adding a new rail freight subsidy of about 9.7 billion roubles, extending short-term preferential loans, and buying up to 3 million tonnes of wheat and rye for the state intervention fund.
State purchases of up to 3 million tonnes put a floor under domestic wheat prices and reduce forced selling, while rail subsidies help move grain despite port constraints. Together these support Russian wheat values and export competitiveness.
