Louis Dreyfus Company opened a truck-to-barge grain terminal in West Memphis, Arkansas, with 800,000 bushels of storage on the Mississippi River. The facility receives, stores and ships corn and soybeans from the mid-Delta region and feeds the company's Baton Rouge export facility.
The new origination capacity improves barge access to Gulf export channels for regional corn and soybeans, which may modestly firm local basis over time but does not change the national supply balance.
After 284 past neutral logistics events, Corn moved a median -0.0% over 5 sessions (49% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.4%), and -0.2% over 20.

Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
