Acron reported first-half 2017 mineral fertilizer output of over 3 million tonnes, up nearly a third year on year. The company credited a new ammonia unit at Veliky Novgorod, urea and NPK unit upgrades, and a record apatite concentrate rate in 2Q17.
It also plans a sixth urea unit due in summer 2018.
Higher Russian urea and NPK output adds to global nitrogen and phosphate supply, which is bearish for urea prices and feed-ingredient input costs.
After 42 past bearish report events, UREA moved a median +0.3% over 5 sessions (57% higher; middle half -1.9% to +3.3%), and +2.9% over 20.
