Fertilizers Europe welcomed the European Commission's definitive anti-dumping regulation on UAN imports from Russia, Trinidad and Tobago and the US. The Commission released its full economic analysis on 8 October 2019 under Regulation 2019/1688.
The measure is the first under the EU's modernised trade defence rules and normally runs for five years.
The industry's endorsement signals that the duties are expected to stay in place for years, supporting EU UAN supply and pricing. The effect on global nitrogen prices is limited to the affected trade lanes.
