Ukraine's grain exports in 2019/20 reached 54.41 million tonnes as of June 3, up 16.1% year on year. Wheat exports were 20.17 million tonnes, corn 28.68 million tonnes, and barley 4.86 million tonnes.
The government is also considering a 14.9 million tonne wheat export limit for 2020/21.
Strong shipments show the export pace is running ahead of last year, which tightens old-crop supply. A proposed 2020/21 wheat export cap would reduce Ukrainian availability and support world wheat prices if adopted.
