Russia will restrict exports of sunflower seed, rapeseed, soybeans, corn, wheat and rye from January 10 to June 30, 2021. Export tariffs of 30% (minimum EUR 165/t) apply to sunflower seed and rapeseed, and a 30% soybean export duty applies from February 1.
The measures aim to curb domestic food price increases.
Russian export duties remove significant oilseed and grain supply from world markets, which supports meal and oil prices in importing countries. Buyers outside the Eurasian Economic Union will face higher costs for these feedstuffs.
