Dairy producers are being asked to sign a letter to the National Milk Producers Federation and the International Dairy Foods Association over depooling. Depooling has caused negative producer price differential deductions on milk checks, leaving some farmers unable to benefit from DMC and DRP risk protection.
Signatures were accepted until April 5.
Negative producer price differentials reduce the net milk price farmers receive, which can tighten margins and affect dairy herd and feed purchasing decisions.
