Iowa Farm Bureau's economist reviewed the April WASDE, which cut US corn ending stocks by 50 million bushels to 2.122 billion. The season-average corn farm price was lowered 5 cents to $4.70, and soybean ending stocks rose 25 million bushels to 340 million.
Soybean stocks were at the high end of pre-report trade expectations.
A lower season-average corn price and higher soybean stocks signal a looser balance sheet than the market expected. Feed buyers should expect lower corn and soybean costs.
