India lifted its ban on de-oiled rice bran exports with immediate effect on October 3, 2025, ending restrictions in place for more than two years. The ban had been imposed in July 2023.
The government announced the change in a Friday statement.
Reopening exports lets Indian rice bran reach overseas feed buyers, which can ease domestic supply and support processor margins. The global feed price effect is likely small.
