June natural gas futures settled at $3.114/MMBtu on May 19 after extending a rally driven by widespread Lower 48 heat and a drop in Haynesville output toward 106 Bcf/d. LNG feedgas flows fell to their lowest since January.
Heat-driven power demand and lower production tighten US gas supply, supporting higher energy and processing costs for feed producers. LNG softness partly offsets the rally.
After 221 past bullish weather events, Natural Gas moved a median +3.3% over 5 sessions (61% higher; middle half -5.2% to +14.0%), and -0.3% over 20.
