According to the Renewable Fuels Association, U.S. ethanol exports fell to 171.6 million gallons in April, below 200 million for the first time in six months. Canada, the EU, South Korea and the Philippines made up about three-quarters of shipments.
Year-to-date exports through April were 811.3 million gallons, up 13% from 2025.
Lower April ethanol exports reduce outside demand for U.S. corn used in fuel production. Year-to-date strength partly offsets the monthly slowdown, so the price effect on corn is modest.
After 683 past bearish trade events, Corn moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (47% higher; middle half -1.7% to +1.6%), and +0.3% over 20.
