The Senate Agriculture Committee advanced the Agricultural Act of 2026, known as Farm Bill 2.0, on a 12-11 vote on Sept. 16.
The bill still needs full Senate and House action, and it includes provisions to authorize year-round E15 sales.
Year-round E15 would support ethanol blending and corn use for fuel, which is bullish for corn. It would also add to biofuel demand for soybean oil, though the bill still faces a full floor vote and reconciliation with the House version.
After 318 past bullish policy events, Corn moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (48% higher; middle half -1.4% to +1.5%), and -0.2% over 20.
After 842 past bullish policy events, Soybean Oil moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (52% higher; middle half -1.6% to +2.1%), and -0.5% over 20.
