The American Soybean Association welcomed EPA's June 13 proposed 2026 and 2027 Renewable Volume Obligations, which raise biomass-based diesel volumes to 5.61 billion gallons in 2026. The draft also reduces RIN values for imported feedstocks such as used cooking oil and inedible tallow.
Congress also acted to support soy-based fuels.
The proposed volume increase would lift domestic soybean oil demand, supporting soybean oil prices. Lower RIN values for imports shift feedstock use toward domestic soybeans.
