The USDA's June WASDE cut US new-crop corn ending stocks to 1.577 billion bushels, down 105 million from May, and old-crop stocks to 2.1 billion. US soybean new-crop ending stocks came in below trade expectations at 385 million bushels.
The USDA also raised Brazil's soybean crop by 2 MMT to 119 MMT and trimmed Brazil corn output.
Lower US corn and soybean stocks tighten the feed grain balance and support prices, while the larger Brazilian soy crop partly offsets this. Feed buyers should weigh tighter US supplies against South American export competition.
