Ukrainian seaports shipped 155 thousand tons of main grains during August 18-24, 2018, down 76% from the prior week's revised 652 thousand tons. Corn shipments rose to 63 thousand tons from 3 thousand, while wheat fell to 60 thousand tons and barley to 32 thousand tons.
The IGC cut its 2018/19 world wheat production forecast to 716 million tons.
Sharply lower Ukrainian port loadings reduce near-term Black Sea export supply, supporting wheat and barley prices. The IGC wheat production cut adds to tighter global feed grain and wheat balances.
