Wheat shipments from Ukrainian seaports fell by more than half, from 815 thousand tons to 381 thousand tons, in the week of September 28 to October 4. Total staple grain shipments dropped 45% to 512 thousand tons, while barley rose and corn gained 10%.
A sharp weekly drop in Black Sea wheat exports tightens near-term export supply, which is mildly supportive for wheat prices.
