USDA Chief Economist Robert Johansson outlined the 2020 farm outlook at the Agricultural Outlook Forum, citing the USMCA, the U.S.-Japan agreement, and the U.S.-China deal as improving market access. The three deals cover over half of U.S. agricultural exports.
Improved export access supports demand for U.S. meat, grain and oilseeds, which can underpin prices for feed commodities.
