Ukrainian seaports tripled grain exports in July

Ukrainian seaports shipped 2.49 mln tonnes of grain in July 2020, up 32% from June. Wheat shipments rose sixfold to 1.3 mln tonnes and barley rose 7.4 times to 956 thousand tonnes, while corn fell nearly sevenfold to 224 thousand tonnes.

Stronger Ukrainian port flows of wheat and barley add to Black Sea export competition, which tends to weigh on global wheat and barley export prices. The corn decline reduces near-term Black Sea corn supply to world markets.
