Ukrainian seaports exported 3.51 million tonnes of major grains in March 2018, up 40% from February. Corn shipments rose 80% to 2.55 million tonnes, while wheat exports fell to 894 thousand tonnes.
A sharp rise in Ukrainian corn exports adds supply to world corn markets and competes with US corn in key importers such as Egypt, which can pressure corn export prices.
