Grain rail transport in Ukraine remains severely strained, with delivery costs to ports up 2 to 2.5 times. About 50 trains are abandoned and 250 delayed on the Ukrzaliznytsia network, with the worst congestion around the Nikolaev ports.
Slow rail movement limits grain reaching Black Sea ports, tightening near-term export supply and lifting port-level prices for wheat and corn.
